Dr. Nick H. Gabriel, is affiliated with a Center of Excellence as  formerly the Director of Bariatric Surgery is now the newly appointed Co-Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Co-Director of the DaVinci Robotic Program at St. Catherine of Siena and Assistant Professor of Surgery at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Nick Gabriel is also widely recognized in the press through informational videos offered online and has appeared with notable media outlets, such as, Discovery Channel, CNN, and the New York Daily News. Dr. Gabriel’s patients have also welcomed their experience with bariatric weight loss surgery performed by Dr. Gabriel. He was also one of the first weight loss surgeons to perform the Lap Band procedure in Brooklyn and Long Island. In addition, Dr. Gabriel also specializes in minimally invasive abdominal surgery, such as, gall bladder, appendix, colon and intestinal resections, hernia repairs and solid organ surgery for spleen, adrenal and kidney which adds to his extensive expertise in weight loss surgery. Dr. Gabriel completed his general surgery training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, affiliated with the Weill Medical College of Cornell University before completing a laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.
