  • Dramatic Rise in the Creatinine Level in the Blood.

High Creatinine levels are not causes of renal issues; it is the signpost that warns us to gear ourselves for tackling renal issues. Declining physical function of kidneys themselves is the consequence of kidney abnormalities that result from a variety of root causes.

Root Causes for Kidney Disease

The culprits behind the decline in the physical functioning of the kidneys may be linked to the following:

Hypertension: Hypertension is a condition of irregular blood flow that causes the blood to gush through the blood vessels in an abnormally speedy fashion, if left untreated. If left untreated, this action may ultimately damage the physical structure. This action may creep throughout the body to the vessels supplying blood to the kidneys. In turn, the kidneys may be weakened and hindered from the process of blood filtration.

Diabetes: Perhaps, the most common enemy among people with an innocent sweet tooth is diabetes. Lack of regulation of blood glucose due to absence of insulin in blood causes this disease. As the blood is filled with excessive glucose, it becomes harder for the kidneys to filter smoothly.

Select examples of misc. contributors to kidney disease or damage include: Untreated Birth Defect, Atherosclerosis, Polycystic kidneys and excessive intake of pain relieving medication respectively.

Dramatic Rise in Creatinine

With regard to the rise of the Creatinine level in the blood, the substance Creatinine is a “byproduct” that results from the breakdown of Creatine (a component of muscle fat). A healthy happy kidney equates to 0.7 to 1.3 mg\dL Creatinine in men and 0.6 to 1.1 mg\dL Creatinine in women. An amount higher than these numbers may indicate anomalies in renal functioning. It is important to note that numbers may vary based on age and other factors. Such  variations may be considered within normal range by some providers.
