Legally Blind to New Vision to Olympic Gold Win

Legally Blind to New Vision to Olympic Gold Win

Olympic Gold Medalist Steve Holcomb has many great reasons to celebrate after winning the Gold Medal with his Night Train sled as the  first US Four Man Gold Medal win in over sixty years. It was a great way to come out of legal blindness with the aid of the C3-R® eye procedure.  Keratoconus had previously forced Steve into retirement.  In fact, the sophisticated eye procedure that takes people off the corneal eye transplant list was renamed to Holcomb C3-R® and it’s the first medical procedure to be named after an Olympic winner!  So, what is Holcombe C3-R®, you may ask?

It’s an innovative approach that can bring many people back on top that are challenged with Keratoconus, a common degenerative eye disease which may lead to blindness.  As Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler, pioneer of this innovative eye procedure explains, “As more people have become legally blind due to Keratoconus, I felt the need to invent a less invasive approach when compared to traditional treatment which is more invasive corneal transplant surgery.  With Holcomb C3-R ®, we are able to use this combination of vitamins and light to stabilize and strengthen the corneas of the eyes. Then, we place an insertable contact lens to optimize vision. It is remarkable to be able to offer a less invasive approach that does not involve significant downtime, allows for highly improved vision and removes people from the corneal transplant  waiting list. ”

Indeed, it appears Steve Holcomb can enjoy the win of his Olympic Night Train sled ride and today he has enjoyed the many aspects of life that he may not have been able to enjoy otherwise. One in 2000 Americans who are Keratoconus patients may be able to drive their life back into acceleration with Holcomb C3-R ® as well. Steve Holcomb found Dr. Brian after visiting with 10-12 corneal eye doctors who were not able to offer an approach that would allow him to go back and take the Olympic win. It has been estimated that 1 out of every 2000 have Keratoconus. However, the estimate may be closer to 1 out of every 500, depending upon the degree of the disease. Medical Insurance only pays for the corneal transplant procedure at this time. So, the cost for the less invasive approach must be paid by the patient.  There are financing options can be as low as a few hundred dollars a month.  However, you may submit your medical expenses to your insurance company for reimbursement. When the claim is rejected, you may commence the appeal process, in due time you may get lucky and ultimaetly receive insurance reimbursement for the procedure.

Got Tendonitis Get A Natural Healing Shot!

Got Tendonitis Get A Natural Healing Shot!

Tendonitis sufferers may soon be enjoying simplicity in treatment with a quick shot of their own refined blood. Word is spreading in orthopedics about using an injection of platelet rich-plasma blood supply for tendonitis. One orthopedic surgeon’s patient recently shared his experience with a refined blood shot to relieve his boxer’s elbow tendonitis.

Tendonitis can be one of the most nagging medical conditions, responsible for keeping 70,000 people out of work if all repetitive motion injuries were included in the numbers, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. It’s difficult to contend with, particularly since tendons and ligaments have a limited blood supply.   Traditionally,  worst case scenarios may make surgery the only option. Now, an exciting discovery suggests that tendonitis, signified by persistent tings and throbs of pain, as well as, functionality loss, may simply be remedied with shot of a new blood supply!

One such lucky tendonitis patient found an orthopedic surgeon who had witnessed the benefits of just that. Dr. Richard Brown of La Jolla, California.  Dr. Brown received his MD training from Duke University, had a Fellowship from Massachusetts General Hospital in Hand Surgery, did his residency and internship program participation at University of California San Diego Medical Center, Ortho, and received two board certifications by American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Orthopedic and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Surgery of the Hand.  Dr. Brown has put his training to good use with renewed focus on advanced treatment for tendonitis.

As Dr. Brown explains,   “This is a great advancement in orthopedics.  Many people with tendonitis lead a very active lifestyle and the traditional surgical approach requires recovery time that may take these individuals out of action with limited functionality in the affected area for 2 to 3 months. The alternative is remarkable, offering an injection of platelet rich plasma that can enhance healing, without the down time of surgery. The scientific data has not fully demonstrated how it works, but the treatment appears to be effective 60% to 70% of the time.” Orthopedic surgeons may simply extract blood from a patient with tendonitis and specially process it through a medical device to deliver a new platelet rich blood supply with healing qualities.

Dr. Brown’s  patient’s name is Jon Huberman of San Diego, CA.  Jon was initially very pleased with the results from the team approach at his orthopedic specialist’s office. An orthopedic surgeon who had kept on top of medical advancements and a rehab squad that is well recognized for their talents. James first completed rehab and used anti-inflammatory agents to reduce discomfort from his tendonitis.  The initial results were very comforting. However, as he continually used his boxer’s elbow, with all of his extracurricular activities, excessive typing, and traveling with heavy luggage, the nuisance of tendonitis fell upon his elbow once again over time. The next step might have been surgery. Instead, he went for a new blood supply!

As Jon explains, “I really liked the idea that simply injecting a fresh blood supply into my arm could offer healing for my tendonitis. I’d rather try this than take time away from my life in surgery.  And the injection isn’t more uncomfortable than the throbbing pain I feel from tendonitis every day. So, I thought, why not?”

Rehabilitation and anti-inflammatory agents are still a primary method for treating tendonitis and may still be the first protocol to follow when challenged by tendonitis, depending upon the patient’s condition. Surgery is the next step for unresolvable tendonitis. However, the alternative offered in a new platelet rich plasma blood supply has hit the radar screen for many orthopedics.  As Dr. Brown adds, “So, it looks like those with tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, boxer’s elbow and the like may have a chance to forgo surgery and downtime!”  In fact, days later, the Your Health Access team followed up with Jon, to check in. As Jon, adds, “It’s feeling better already! I’m going skiing weekend and I’m not worried about it!”

Who knows? Maybe one day platelet rich plasma blood supply shots for tendonitis will be as popular as learning about ways to combat silent inflammation. After all, platelet rich plasma blood is quite popular for hair  transplantation and has been around in other medical applications since the 90’s.

A Quality of Life Diet

Check out how Red Wine, Probiotics, Omega 3’s, Enzyme Treatment, an Anti-Inflammatory Diet, Fresh Mouth Biofilm Treatment and more can fit into your lifestyle to help you live “disease free” much longer.  It can feel great to eradicate foreign bodies that trigger your silent inflammation!
Everyone has it. Few know about it. Silent inflammation cures are far more interesting than diseases that may otherwise be the consequence. Time to engage in some self-help!

Silent inflammation defined?  Let’s begin to clear this up- “People first need to understand the concept itself and the ways to prevent it so that this root of life-threatening diseases is ceased before disease(s) surface,” as Joseph C. Maroon, MD, Professor and Vice Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery, Heindl Scholar in Neuroscience University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Team Neurosurgeon of The Pittsburgh Steelers explains.  You  may have incorporated a The Mediterranean Diet that may help prevent disease, but want some adjuncts to support your goal for a healthy life.    Health Screenings and Ways to Prevent Disease are two ways to learn more about managing silent inflammation, but here we have a list of the markers that bring out silent inflammation, the diseases it may cause and ideas for an Anti-Silent Inflammation Diet.  We’ve also got Healthy Living and Disease Prevention Features  for you to check out. So, please read on!

WHAT IS INFLAMMATION?

The Basics of Silent Inflammation
If you have ever had the effects of a virus, bacteria, fungus, environmental toxin, or an injury to your body, you’ve probably experienced acute inflammation. It’s the automatic response of your body to help ensure a smooth healing process. And you are likely to recognize the signs of aches, bruising or swelling, as mild as they may be. Soon, the symptoms subside, body repair is complete, and the inflammation process stops. In silent inflammation, the inflammatory process doesn’t stop.

The Fun Part! The Anti-Silent Inflammation “Diet”

The list of treatments is too long to fully display here. A select number of Physicians, Allergists, Osteopaths, Dentists, Holistic practitioners, and other health professionals have their own armory of tools available to combat silent inflammation. The right plan is highly individualized.  In fact, the diagnostic approach varies among medical providers. So, you’ll need to know how to expose your silent inflammation to the right doctors and advanced diagnostics.   First, check out some of the ways to prevent silent inflammation. Here’s a fast recap of several possibilities.

Anti-Inflammatory Diet: Indulge in vegetables, fruits, lean protein like fish, turkey and chicken, high fiber and appropriate supplements. As Dr. Maroon adds, “For those who drink, one glass of red wine for women and two for men per day may have substantial health benefits.”

Biofilm Treatment: Biofilms that naturally exist in your mouth can be controlled, if imbalanced, with specialized oxygenating agents, fluoride, xylitol and pH neutralizing technology that kills bacteria in the mouth. Some dentists are certified in Biofilm treatment to offer these products in the form of refined toothpastes, mouth rinses and mouth trays filled with bacteria-killing agents. It’s a simple investment for 75% of the population with periodontal disease or gingivitis, the precursor periodontal disease. Periodontal Disease has been linked to an Oral Body Connection and a variety of systematic diseases.

Probiotics: If you are concerned about the bacteria in your body, Probiotics are said to be good bacteria. They can be found in food or supplements and may be useful to balance your bacterial intestinal flora. Yogurt, fermented milk and some soy beverages all contain Probiotics that are generally safe for consumption. There have been conflicting reports about Probiotic supplements. Thus, it is advised to consult a physician about these products. If your bacteria level goes haywire and you experience a fungal or bacterial infection, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial medications may be important when prescribed by your physician.

Omega-3’s: These additives help deter and control silent inflammation. Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in fish oil, nuts, seeds, fish and supplements.  And remember you need to balance your Omega 3 and 6 intake with the rest of your diet, so you may want to see a nutritionist to be certain you are providing your body with the appropriate ratio. For example, if you eat unhealthy foods, you are likely to need more Omega 3’s and 6’s when compared to a person that eats all healthy foods. Omegas have also been known to slow down cancer cells development and forestall the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease, while enhancing brain function.

Resveratrol: Found in red wine, peanuts and blueberries, Resveratrol tackles silent inflammation. In fact, there is even a Resveratrol pill that is said to be the equivalent of 1000 bottles of red wine. The benefits of Resveratrol have been documented in animal studies and small human clinical trials, including: cancer prevention, diabetes and weight control, as well as, enhanced cardiovascular health, memory, strength and endurance.

Vitamin D-3: If your physician identifies that you have a Vitamin D deficiency, Vitamin D supplements may be the way to go.  Vitamin D helps to kill viruses, fungus and bacteria that may silently stir in your body. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to a cancer risk, bone diseases, birth defects, and Chrohn’s disease (inflammatory bowel disease). Vitamin D can also be found in the sun, in your diet, and in foods like raw milk butter, salmon and tuna, beef, veal, fish oil, and egg yolk.

Turmeric: This is one of nature’s most powerful antiseptic and antibacterial agents with anti-inflammatory properties.Turmeric  detoxifies the liver; prevents and slows the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease; treats arthritis and skin conditions; provides anti-aging for skin; and helps to control weight.  It’s been known to prevent breast cancer and melanoma from spreading, as well as, slow cancer cell development.  Available in powder or pill form, you can find Turmeric in most nutrition stores after you check with your physician to make sure it’s right for you.

Systematic Enzyme Treatment: Enzymes may reduce inflammation, remove and filter viruses and toxins from the blood, as well as, help balance the immune system. There is a variety to choose from and these agents can be powerful. Thus, check with your practitioners about systematic enzyme treatment before using any supplements.

Energetic Modalities, such as Reiki: As David Wright, RM, C.Ht, PHC, B.A., explains, “Silent inflammation may be the consequence of interference in the energetic foot print in, above and below our bodies which combines the mind, body and spirit. Disruptions in the free flow of thought, such as, those caused by stress, weaken the physical system and life system above it.  Stress related illnesses have risen from the acknowledged low 60% range thirty years ago to the 80%’s today. In Reiki, the focus of energetic health is on removing obstacles from energetic field to do energetically what physicians do at the physical level. It’s not a magic wand. Yet, by analyzing the mind and body connection in Reiki, energetic health practitioners may help to promote self-discovery and healing.”  David Wright is a Life Coach Counselor, Master Chakra Balancer, Reiki Master and Certified Hypnotherapist at the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine in Washington D.C.

FYI Check Out The Alternative

In silent inflammation, the inflammation process continues and becomes chronic because of underlying internal problems. For example, Candida (fungus), unhealthy oral Bio Films, and heavy metal toxicity have been known to create chronic inflammation that is only detectable to the combative force of the inflammation process until a medical condition may arise over time. Conversely, some types of inflammation display symptoms that give us other clues to identify a mechanism of action and to cease the action with defiance!

For example, allergies. “Scientific evidence based research demonstrates that people with allergies produce an additional antibody called the E-antibody and this antibody can alter the usual response of the immune system. Now that we understand the role of the E-antibody, we can intervene with improved treatment.” according to Eli O. Meltzer, MD, of the Allergy & Asthma Medical Group & Research Center, San Diego, CA.

The E-Antibody resides on cells. So, board-certified allergists perform skin tests and may perform laboratory studies to identify sensitivities that can be linked to tiny airborne particles, such as, pollen, mold spores, dust mites, and pet dander. Allergy injections (shots) are designed to desensitize your body so you are not subject to the chronic inflammatory response which, in the case of allergies, creates the dis-ease.

In chronic inflammation, you may or may not experience symptoms. Even if you do have symptoms, some traditional diagnostic test results may not reflect an illness. It’s also important to note that there are many different types of inflammatory families; each associated with its own mechanism of action.   Since the inflammation process must go into overdrive to fend off perpetrators we don’t have the ability to recognize, the process becomes weakened over time. In turn, the immune system becomes compromised. The dental community has also stepped up to learn more about what happens when the immune system is compromised. As Dr. Mark Sweeney, of Austin Dental Spa, Austin Texas, one of the select dentists certified in Bio Film treatment suggests, “When the immune system is weakened, it may fail to maintain a natural bacterial balance and bacterial imbalance is a cause for oral and medical conditions. For example, Periodontal Disease, signified by gum inflammation which affects 75% of the population, has been scientifically linked to imbalanced oral Bio Film layers. When these Bio Films enter the blood stream, they contribute to plaque build-up which disrupts blood flow. Hence, evidence has linked these Bio Films to cardiovascular disease and stroke. On the up side, there are Bio Film treatments that are designed to leave you with a fresh, clean healthy mouth.”  Alternatively, it may not be until years later that you show the signs of chronic inflammation when it takes on a new form…
•    Type 2 Diabetes
•    Obesity
•    Cancer
•    Coronary disease
•    Stroke
•    Alzheimer’s disease
•    Parkinson’s disease
•    Fibromyalgia
•    Multiple sclerosis
•    Rheumatoid Arthritis
•    Lupus
•    Allergies
•    Asthma
•    And many others

That’s right, the first aid kit offered in the inflammation process runs out of supplies and serious medical conditions may eventually result. The good news is that you have options to detect and treat silent inflammation in several of its forms, much of which starts with Self-Help!  Check out what we now know about some silent inflammation markers.  Then, you can get prepared to strike it down.

Silent Inflammation Markers
Only a small sample of the signs that put your inflammatory process into overdrive and heading towards break down.

– Imbalanced Oral Bio Film Layers: Everyone has Bio Film layers in their body, such as, the mouth, nose, and stomach; it’s the imbalance of these layers filled with bacterial pathogens, fungi and toxins that may lead to silent inflammation, heart attack and stroke. Since 75% of the population has gum disease, or the precursor thereof, there’s a good chance that only 25% of the population doesn’t have a bit of imbalance.

– Heavy Metal Toxicity due to air particles, products, or job related overexposure to metals.   Metal toxicity has been linked to Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and Neuropathy- among other diseases.

– Undiagnosed Food Allergies, such as lactose or gluten intolerance.

– Environmental Mold Toxicity, such as from a leaking underground pipe that causes mold spores to multiply and penetrate the air.

– Fungi, such as Candida.

– Bacteria including, but not limited to H. Pylori (root of Peptic Ulcers) and Borrelia Burgdorferi (root of Lyme disease).

– Viruses, such as Hepatitis A, E, Herpes, HIV, and Epstein Barr.

In the end, eradicating foreign bodies may require a multi-prong strategy that may become part of your core lifestyle for an increase in life span and quality of life.

Breast Cancer Prevention

Breast Cancer Prevention

Breast self awareness means that you know your risk, get screened, know what is normal for you, make healthy lifestyle choices and perform self breast examinations. Learn more about how to look for changes and feel changes in your breasts.   It’s not just about having a mammogram every year after 40, or a clinical breast exam beginning at 20 every 3 years until 40 when it’s best to go every year. It’s about daily awareness so your  days can be bright for many more years.

Breast Cancer Prevention

Breast cancer prevention has been a great focus for many women since so many wonderful campaigns have broadened awareness.  Although many risk factors may increase your chance of cancer, the precise relationship between each risk factor and the activation of cancer in breast cells is not known.  Hormones are believed to play a role in many cases, but how this happens is not fully understood. There are also other factors that elevate the risk for breast cancer, such as, smoking, diet, silent inflammation, and more!

Breast Cancer Prevention

There is no sure way to prevent breast cancer. But there are things all women can do that might reduce their risk and help increase the odds that if cancer does occur, it is found at an early, more treatable stage.

Risk Reduction:

  • If you limit alcohol use, exercise regularly and keep your weight under control, you are decreasing your risk of getting breast cancer. Women who choose to breast-feed for at least several months may also reduce their risk.
  • Avoiding post-menopausal hormone therapy (PHT) also can help limit risk.
  • Finding breast cancer early: Follow the American Cancer Society’s guidelines for early detection of breast cancer.
  • Some risks cannot be avoided, but the odds of staying healthy may be improved.
  • Genetic testing: There are tests that can determine if a woman has certain genes linked to breast cancer. If so, steps can be taken to reduce the risk of disease. However, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends that only women with a strong family history of cancer be evaluated for genetic testing. This group is only about 2% of adult women in the United States.
  • Women can take charge of their own breast health by practicing regular self-exams to identify changes; scheduling regular doctor visits and annual mammograms and adhering to any treatment a physician may prescribe.

American Cancer Society recommendations for early breast cancer detection

The ACS recommends the following guidelines for finding breast cancer early in women without symptoms and without significant risk factors for breast cancer. (Women with risk factors for breast cancer should consult with their physician and reference the American Cancer Society’s website for additional recommendations).

Mammogram or MRI: Women age 40 and older should have a screening mammogram every year. While mammograms are not perfect, they are still a very good way to detect breast cancer. Women with silicone breast implants are advised to have an MRI.

Clinical Breast Exam: Women in their 20s and 30s should have a clinical breast exam (CBE) by a health expert at least every three years. After age 40, women should have a breast exam every year. It might be a good idea to have the CBE shortly before the mammogram. You can use the exam to learn what your own breasts should feel like.

Breast Self-Exam (BSE): BSE is an option for women starting in their 20s. Women should be told about the benefits and limitations of BSE. They should report any changes in how their breasts look or feel to their health professional immediately.

Research has shown that BSE plays a small role in finding breast cancer compared with finding a breast lump by chance. If you decide to do BSE, you should have your doctor or nurse make sure you are doing it properly. If you do a BSE on a regular basis, you get to know how your breasts normally look and feel. Then you can more easily notice changes.

The goal, with or without BSE, is to see your doctor right away if you notice any of these changes: a lump or swelling, skin irritation or dimpling, nipple pain or the nipple turning inward, redness or scaliness of the nipple or breast skin, or a discharge other than breast milk. Remember that most breast changes are not cancerous.

Healthy Vision Foods

Healthy Vision Foods

Healthy vision foods may not give you the power of X-ray vision or the psychic ability to foresee future events, but you may be able to accent your eye sight, arrange for a lower risk of eye disease and heighten your vision health. Certain foods contain rich vitamins that are good for your eye health and are known to reduce the risk for eye conditions.

Green Leafy Veges

Spinach, collards, kale and other green leafy veges containing carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin are known to enhance vision, protect eyes from ultraviolet rays, preserves healthy eye cells, and reduces the risk of  age-related macular degeneration. So, improve your chances of seeing fine details when you get older, eat some veges! Reading and driving are two important activities for everyone.

Strawberries, Blueberries, and Raspberries

Fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries top the list for powerful anti-oxidants that can thwart off the risk of macular degeneration, cataracts, and other eye conditions. Reduce your risk of blurry vision, impaired depth perception and other impairments, even blindness. Try a berry shake or top your sundae off with berries.

Carrots and Orange Colored Foods

Carrots, sweet potatoes, mangos, cantaloupe, and apricots all promote eye health with their rich source of Vitamin A.  These foods are not only tasty, but they prevent night blindness, enhance retinal health, as well as, reduce the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts. It’s valuable to see vibrant colors around you as much as it is important to eat orange colored foods.

Low Fat Milk, Cheese, Eggs and Liver

All of these foods and drink are great sources for Vitamin A, which build on eye health and reduce your risk of cataracts.  Cheese also contains zinc which can absorb antioxidants so they can be more powerful for your eye health, while reducing your risk for eye disease. And not to worry, our facial features help preserve our eye health too. Just as our eyelashes assist in keeping debris out of your eyes and eyebrows keep sweat from running into our eyes, we have to eat the right foods to preserve the health of our eyes.

Yogurt, Lean Beef, Pork, Turkey, and Fortified Cereal

Rich in zinc, yogurt, lean beef, pork, turkey and fortified cereal can boost your zinc intake for better retinal health. It’s no optical illusion that these foods protect your eyes.

Salmon, Mackerel, Sardines and Herring

Filled with Omega-3 fatty acids, fatty fish leverage eye health and reduce the risk of macular degeneration. Since men are able to read fine print better than women, women may want to step up on their Omega-3 intake.

Almonds, Nuts, Mangoes, Broccoli

Vitamin E sources found in almonds, nuts, mangoes, and broccoli prevent and inhibit cataract development.  It might be impossible to sneeze with your eyes open, but it’s not impossible to nibble on almonds, nuts, mangoes and broccoli.

If our eyes can blink over 10,000,000 times a year, there’s no reason to think we can’t incorporate these foods into our daily lives. It’s never too late to bring on foods that promote eye health!

In fact, Botox ® Cosmetic is known to help prevent the onset of wrinkles. To improve skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles, skin folds, enlarged pores, broken capillaries, and scarring, check out our list for facial rejuvenation!

Cosmetic Injectables

For a quick fix, no downtime, and a sensible price,   millions have enjoyed the benefits of Botox and Dysport for the prevention of wrinkles and significant improvement of existing wrinkles on the forehead, crow’s feet or between the brows.  Juvederm®,  Hydrelle®, Perlane®, Restylane® and Sculptura® are each designed for specific areas of the face in specialized variations thereof, offering instantaneous results to plump up your cheeks, fill in sunken areas, diminish smile lines and touch up thin lips or lip lines.  In fact, touch ups every so often offer everlasting results. Now, let’s peek at the age categories so you can see what ingredients  in your life may fit into your schedule to prevent and diminish aging wrinkles and facial folds.

For the 20’s, 30’s and Beyond

First, the basics. Eat healthy. “Anti-wrinkle” foods include: tomatoes, red peppers, beets, carrots, blue berries, kale and salmon. Fatty acids support hydration for the cells and help prevent moisture loss. Take in corn, soy, sunflower oil, and raw dairy, but balance the dosage. Exercise to speed up the oxygen process that supports healthy cell development for ammunition against the reduction in collagen and elastin fibers is helpful.  Exercise your neck for wrinkle prevention. Consistently wear sunscreen on the face, neck and body. Reapply sunscreen every few hours throughout the day.

The key to skincare is in the ingredients. Wash your face at least three times a day. Consider medical grade skincare products. Look for key words, including: multivitamins, anti-oxidants, peptides, glycolic acid and salicylic acid. Retin A is wonderful for those over 30.

A simple exfoliation of oats, honey, essential oils may work in the 20’s. Yet, exfoliating takes on a new dimension when the skin exfoliation process slows down with age. For starters, don’t forget to investigate at-home power assisted tools equipped with soft bristles that remove pollutants and excess make up such as Clarasonic. Then, check out medical grade skincare for the years beyond.

Tone to maintain PH balance. Stay away from alcohol on the face and in the body. Perhaps it’s wise to investigate rosewater and witch hazel alternatives. Use an eye cream to compensate for the lack of oil glands under the eyes.

Then comes moisturizing. Part of a healthy moisturizing routine involves drinking eight 6 to 8 ounce glasses of water each day. Hydration of the skin is highly dependent upon water intake. Moisturizers hold moisture in the skin and protect the skin from pollutants. Check out products like Evian spray water. Ponder lotions containing shea butter, cerimides,  multi-vitamins-  and more. And don’t forget to use an eye cream to compensate for the lack of oil glands under the eye lids.

For the 30’s and Beyond

Microdermabrasion is a first stage anti-wrinkle remedy. The goal of microdermabrasion is to use a tool that will discharge tiny crystals onto your face to provide an advanced form of skin exfoliation.
